Why Our Medical Assistant School?
Sochi designed a curriculum for Medical Assistants based on industry trends and a variety of quality educational resources that meets the needs of the local community in preparation for the workforce.
Additionally, feedback from medical professionals and experienced medical assistant instructors was solicited and used to create the ideal learning experience for the student.
The Medical Assistant program is designed with a combination of informational and practical learning experiences to prepare students with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies required for a career as a Medical Assistant in a variety of clinical settings. Hands-on lab activities and experiential learning through externship give the student confidence to be successful upon entering the workforce.
Medical Assistants are in High Demand
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there will be an increase of 18% in employment opportunities for Medical Assistants meanwhile other industries can see as low as a 2% increase.
According to BLS and the American Association of Medical Assistants the reasoning for this can be attributed to an aging population that will increase demand, thus increasing the amount of physicians offices that will hire trained medical assistants to meet needs.
